I know that many “experts” believe that automation can solve all of your marketing problems. And there are many evangelists out there whom – sadly – really believe that almost all of your communication can be put on auto-pilot. In my opinion that is nonsense.
Automating any type of processes – marketing, sales, customer service – should be done smartly. You really do not want your audience to think that a machine is talking to them. It has to come natural.
For starters, you may want to think about where the low hanging fruits are? Which parts of your marketing can benefit from an automated processing?
Since I have been away from this part of our industry for a while, I plan to write some quick-and-easy guides to how you can plan this whole thing effectively. And give some advise on what do do, and what not to do. All based on my own personal experience of course.
